Product description : Nu Flash is an interesting effect, for a few reasons. First, it involves money which has a really big impact and connects very easily with people. Then, the effect is ultra-visual and it is very versatile. But you may wonder what is the trick ? It’s simple, you let someone choose a card, then you pull a bill out of your wallet and bet you can find their card. Of course, you fail. But when you take the bill and shake it, it changes in seconds, in the selected card. There is even a signed card version of this as well as other routines. Is it good ? Let’s find out !

What you get : You get a DVD case, a thin one, which is pretty unusual today when most of the tricks are released with an online video. So I think it’s nice to have such a packaging. You get a DVD, the English is not very good but it’s pretty well shot and I succeed making my gimmick easily so you shouldn’t have a problem with it. You get an already made gimmick, on which you have to apply a bill from your currency. It’s a nice touch that they included a gimmick made in bicycle stock, they could have provided only the things which make the trick works. Overall, everything is great, gimmick is well made, a little D&Y is needed but nothing hard at all, for $30, you can’t go wrong.
The pros and the cons : Here is the core of my review, let's begin with the cons, as I will usually be doing, I prefer to keep the good things for the end.
THE CONS :
[if !supportLists]– [endif]There is a little preparation needed, it’s a one time prep but you will need to do it carefully so that your gimmick looks good.
[if !supportLists]– [endif]The final card is a little bit thick so you have to be careful when handling it.
[if !supportLists]– [endif]There may be a little noise when you achieve the transformation but it’s nothing important.
THE PROS :
[if !supportLists]– [endif]The trick is ultra visual, not only you change an object from another but you also change the deep nature of it. The size is also a very important factor, the eye won’t understand a double change bill to card and also the size changing.
[if !supportLists]– [endif]It’s quite easy to make and easy to do ! You should pick up the knack very quickly.
[if !supportLists]– [endif]You can use any currency, but you need to be able to fold the bill (I know Australian bill can’t be folded).
[if !supportLists]– [endif]If you don’t want to use cards, there are versions taught on the DVD so you can change the bill into an envelope for example.
[if !supportLists]– [endif]I use a 5 euros bill which works perfectly, it’s nice to finally be able to use my own currency for a bill trick.
[if !supportLists]– [endif]On the DVD, you also learn a signed card version of this trick which will need maybe a sitting position, it’s hard to do it strolling if you learn it from the DVD. I’ve thought about an other variation of it which would be easier to perform table hopping.
Overall rating : The trick is great, the visuals are insane, it’s easy to do and doesn’t cost a lot so I think it’s a good trick if you want to achieve such effect, 3/4 hearts.
As for the difficulty level, one move is complicated but there are variations on how to do the transformation differently so no difficulty, I would say 2/5 stars.
