Review : Blink by Skymember Presents

Product description : What about some original and street magic to add to your repertoire ? A metal tag is introduced after someone from the audience selected a tattoo amongs others and, after having shown the tag to be blank, people can now see it has the tatto engraved on it. Is it worth the price ? Let's go.

Price and where to buy it : This is sold at $99.95 and you can get from any partner of Murphy's Magic !

What you get : You get very nice magnetic closing box with inside a usb key with all the files you need on it. Video is quite nice, pretty short but you learn what you need to learn. You also get 5 tags, a velvet bag, a chain and some protections for the tags. I think the price is a little bit too high on this project. But the quality is good.

The pros and the cons : Here is the core of my review, let's begin with the cons, as I will usually be doing, I prefer to keep the good things for the end.

THE CONS :

  • Price is too high considering what you get. You don't receive any gimmick, the routine is all achieve thanks to sleight of hands. I do not know why the price is so high.

  • You have to be able toaccess a smartphone in order to show the tattoo or you could print them on cards too.

THE PROS :

  • The routine is quite cool, the fact that the spectator is holding the tag when the magic « happens » is a very nice point.

  • Tags are well made and everything you get feel quality, from the bag to the tags and the chain.

  • This is a good trick for street, you will need some audience management but nothing really hard.

  • The impact on people is good, they do react better than what I expected. As with all magic tricks done in the spectators hands, the impact is way better.

Overall rating : If you like what you saw on the trailer, the fact that it is all sleights of hands, you won't be disappointed. It's not my cup of tea and I think the price is too high, 2.5/4 hearts.

As for the difficulty level, nothing complicated if you know to do a change and a crossing the gaze switch, you should be able to do the trick, 2/5 stars.

Similar products : I've never seen something like that, it's original and fun to do !

Thanks to Murphys Magic for sending me this product.
