Product description : Well, this is a hard one. Describing the effect will be pretty weird : you make a strange animal appear for a few seconds in your hand and disappear as quickly ! This is between the prank and a magic trick but it gets awesome reactions, especially from girls.
Price and where to buy it : This is sold at $19.95 and you can find it in nearly every Murphys Magic partner shop.
What you get : You get a small ziplock bag with links to video instructions, they are not very well shot but they do the job teaching you handlings and way to deal with the gimmick. The gimmick is very very well made, it looks like a weird animal, between a bird, a mouse, like a mix of multiple things ! Very realistic as well, pretty satisfied with what I received.
The pros and the cons : Here is the core of my review, let's begin with the cons, as I will usually be doing, I prefer to keep the good things for the end.
THE CONS :
This is maybe not a con for everyone but this is not a trick but a nice piece to put between 2 routines, don't expect to build a whole act on this little thing.
Maybe some of you will have to consider to who you will perform this, some people can react very strongly and sometimes, they won't enjoy the moment.
THE PROS :
It's nearly self working, if you know about the little hand by Mr. Ammar, you should be fine with this.
It's different, not a pick a card trick and people don't know what to expect. I think this moment of surprise is what makes the trick so strong. They don't know what you're doing with your hands in a weird position, they don't know what will come out and if you build the tension around this moment, you can have them react much more strongly to it.
The handling is done in a way your dirty hand is not seen by the public, all the focus is on the other hand which is empty.
It doesn't take any pocket space, you can store your gimmick to protect it from wear.
Overall rating : I quite like this, the reactions I got were better than what I expected so very pleased. I won't using this all the time but since it takes no space at all, it's in my case, ready to go ! 3/4 hearts.
As for the difficulty level, there is nothing very difficult about this trick so you can completely focus on your presentation and build the tension around what's going to happend, which is great ! 1/5 stars.
