Review : "Unbelievalope" by Jeff Kaylor

Product description : From the creative guy who brought you the TKO, the UCCU and the TKO 2.0, a new switching device which will allow you to switch almost everything which has been sitting in a full window envelope since the beginning of the show. For a fraction of the price of some of the biggest prediction system, will this trick be able to replace them ? Let's find out !

Price and where to buy it : This is sold at $39.95 and you can find it in nearly every Murphy's partner shop as well as on the Magic Estate Website : http://www.themagicestate.com/

What you get : You receive a nice little packaging with inside 3 unbelievalopes as well as a link to watch the explanation videos online. I think you can download them but you will watch them mainly online. They are very well shot and Jeff goes quite in deep into crediting which is a very nice thing. The envelopes are well made and should last a very long time if you take care of them. Very pleased from what you received !

The pros and the cons : Here is the core of my review, let's begin with the cons, as I will usually be doing, I prefer to keep the good things for the end.

THE CONS :

  • You will have to build your gimmick since it will differ in size for everyone. This is not the con, the con is that the way you will adapt the envelopes provided is, for the close-up version, quite fragile. Not that if it breaks, you won't be able to fix it but still, it's not cool if the gimmick breaks during a performance. I think you will have to use a strong stuff to make it.

THE PROS :

  • The window is nearly the full size of the envelope ! This does sell the idea that nothing can be switched and it achieves it very well. Since the envelope is really well made, you won't have to change it for a long time.

  • You can put almost anything in the envelope and you can remove it to do another routine very easily too. This baby is very versatile, that's why I like it so much.

  • Considering the big systems available on the market for a prediction (for a stage routine) which cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars, I think this can replace them without any doubt. It's small enough to be performed in a close-up environment but big enough to be performed on stage. If you use a nice coloured predicition, everybody will be able to see it.

  • You do get 3 of them so I think, if you take care, you won't have to buy it again for your whole life. And it gives you the possibility to have one in your case, one at home and one elsewhere so you're always prepared to do the trick.

  • The fact the explanations are online allow Jeff to add content whenever he wants so new routines can be shared thanks to this. I think seeing a product evolving like that is very cool.

Overall rating : It's one of the best switching envelope on the market, it costs nothing compared to what it can achieve and I think you will get a lot of uses out of it. Definately recommended ! 4/4 hearts.

As for the difficulty level, there is no difficulty. "Making" the gimmick was quite simple and performing the switch is fairly easy too, 2/5 stars.

Similar products : From Roger Curzon to David Regal and Paul Romhany, a lot of envelopes are available on the market right now but none of them has nearly a full window which is, in my opinion, the selling point of this.
