Product description : A spectator takes a card, you borrow a note (bill) from him and you begin to heat it with fire from your lighter. When you take the note close to a light, you can clearly see a watermark on their bill, this watermark is the picture of the card chosen by the spectator ! What you get : You get a DVD case with all the gimmicks needed along with a DVD which is very nicely shot, no funny montage, straight to the point. Gimmicks seem to have been made for this trick and they are quite robust.
The pros and the cons : Here is the core of my review, let's begin with the cons, as I will usually be doing, I prefer to keep the good things for the end.
THE CONS :
You will need to « know » the bill you will borrow in order to find the sweet spot which is different for every bill. If you don't apply the gimmick on the sweet spot, the watermark won't be very easy to see.
Only one card is available with the DVD, so it will be always the same card on the watermark. (Keep in mind there is a refill pack with another card)
You will need refills but, according to Peter, you have enough stuff for 1.000 performances which should be ok !
THE PROS :
This is quite organic when you think about it. It's not a pick a card I will find it but more a revelation, a very good one on a spectator's own bill.
You're leaving them with an impossible souvenir, I said this with Wishbone (which is an amazing trick by the way) and with any coin bend, you have a bill with a watermark (and such watermark can only be done by the state in people's mind)
The gimmick is really well made and the place where it is is justified and fly by the spectator during the routine.
You can have your gimmick in your pocket and be ready everytime you want to do Elit. However, it's not recommended to leave it like that for more than a day or you will have to refill it more often.
You have been provided with enough material to do 1.000 performances so it should be fine but, what I want to point out, is that you can completely use this stuff to make other effects with other watermarks, you're not limited by what is provided. Creation is the key.
The price is pretty fair considering the « amount » of material provided and refill pack is quite cheap too !
Overall rating : This is a very nice revelation and will leave spectators speechless with an impossible bill. 3/4 heart for me !
As for the difficulty level, it's nearly self working, you can focus on your presentation, be sure to find the sweet spot before performing the trick ! 3/5 stars.
Similar products : This is the first gimmick, I think, which allows you to permanently alter a bill with a watermark, unique and effective, this is a solid routine !
